Week 7: Death on the Nile

Death on the Nile topped the Week 7 in Korean Box Office. Death on the Nile is a mystery film released on February 9, 2022 and is a sequel to Murder on the Orient Express (2017). The film is the third screen adaptation of Agatha Christie's novel, and the detective 'Hercule Poirot' solves the series of murders on cruise ship.
The film was produced by director and actor Kenneth Branagh and starred himself, Gal Gadot and Armie Hammer. Director Kenneth Branagh has participated in the total of 56 films since he began to appear as an actor in three films in 1987. Famous films that have appeared within the last five years include Dunkirk (2017), Murder on the Orient Express (2017), TENET (2020), and etc.
As of February 18, 2022, the cumulative sales of Death on the Nile are 1,690,688,600 won. In addition, according to Korean Film Council (Kofic) integrated computer network, Death on the Nile has a cumulative audience of 174,898 at the Korean Box Office. In the COVID-19 pandemic, although the number of new confirmed cases was about 110,000 yesterday, but nevertheless, Korean film consumers are eagerly waiting for a new film to come out. Death on the Nile's performance is expected at the end of this month.
