Gravity is number 9 on our chat this week, a movie produced, directed and Co-written by Alfonso Cuoran with his son, Jonas. The movie is about how American astronauts get stranded in space after a mid- orbit destruction of their space shuttle while attempting to return to earth. the distribution rights were acquired by Warner Bro. pictures, David Heyman, who previously worked with Cuarón on harry porter and the prison of Azkaban (2004), produced the film with him. His movie, harry porter and the prison of azkaban made a sales of over 11 billion in 2004 in korea movie market.
Gravity was released into the korean movie market in 2013 and was released again years after and now its currently in the top ten movies in korea. People would go to the cinema to watch gravity again because of the story line which talks about space. It also stars two interesting actors, George clooney and sandra bullock. The movie recieved ten nominations at the 86th academy awards. Sandra bullock being the main actor of the movie has made a huge name for herself in korea. her last two movies, minions and oceans 8, made a hit sales of 11.7 billion and 19 billion in 2015 and 2018 respectively.
