Titanic celebrates its 25th anniversary across screens in Korea!

Everyone remembers the iconic film - Titanic - initially launched in 1997. With a cast headed by Oscar winners Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, the film was an epic, action-packed romance set against the ill-fated maiden voyage of the "unsinkable" Titanic, at the time, the largest moving object ever built. In celebration of its 25th anniversary, a remastered version of director James Cameron's multi-academy award-winning film was released across theatres in Korea in 3D 4K HDR and high-frame-rate. And what better time for it to come to screens in Korea than in the month of love!

In terms of the top lifetime grossed movies, Titanic stands in third place with $2.2 billion in sales. The only two movies to top this were Avatar ($2.9 billion) and Avengers: Endgame ($2.8). And the remastered version of Titanic again filled the crowds in the theatre halls. Within a week of its release, the halls were visited by more than 678,000 titanic lovers. The viewing trend tilted slightly towards females (53%) with the majority of the total audience being in their 20s (48%). It is safe to say that the heart still goes on!
