His graduation thesis film, The Unforgiven, portrayed masculine codes in the Korean military with honesty and sensitivity. And despite its rough edges due to how low budget, the film was a smash hit at the 2005 Busan International Film Festival and won several awards, including the NETPAC. It went on to travel to a number of festivals, winning awards and international critical acclaim. his current movie, tomb of the river ranks no 2 in the Korean box office with sales of 2.3 billion won

He is mainly known for drama, mystery/fear, crime, action, and documentary movies in Korea and has won awards as best director twice in 2018. his last work, break the silence which is a documentary that made huge sales of 1.2 billion won. We hope to see more of Yoon young-bins work make waves in the Korean box office.
