Marvel Comics is back: Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

The sequel to Ant-Man (2015) and Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) was finally released in South Korea a day after Valentine's Day. The Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is the 31st film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is directed by Peyton Reed and stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang and Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, alongside an elaborate cast such as Jonathan Majors, Kathryn Newton, David Dastmalchian, and Katy O'Brian. In this sequel, the cast is accidentally sent to the Quantum Realm where they soon find themselves exploring the Realm and interacting with strange new creatures.



The Marvel Universe films have always been a crowd-puller in Korea. And the latest flick, in just a week, has brought in almost 600,000 people to the theatres amassing cumulative sales of $6 million. Thus far, sixty-two percent of the viewers have been male while 38% of the crowd were female. In terms of the viewing trend by age, the 20s and 30s pulled in the most attendance, being 29% and 42% of the total audience respectively.
