It's that wonderful time of the year again! Chuseok, also known popularly as Korean Thanksgiving Day, is one of the biggest festivals in South Korea. And on its eve released 'Confidential Assignment2: International' [공조2: 인터내셔날] directed by the talented Seok-Hoon Lee. And we can surely say that Chuseok rubbed off its charm as the movie halls were packed! In just a matter of four days, the movie has bagged more than 1.7 million tickets raking in ₩17 Billion.
The first part of the movie, Confidential Assignment, was a huge success. The film managed to bring in close to 8 million moviegoers and accumulated success of ₩63 Billion. Topped with this, the movie features popular actors including Hyun Bin, Yoo Hai Jin, and Lim Yoon-ah. In the sequel, North Korean detective Im Chul-Ryung (Hyun-Bin) is sent to South Korea on a new mission. His target is North Korean crime organization leader Jang Myung-Joon (Jin Sun-Kyu). In the movie, Im Chul-Ryung teams up again with Detective Kang Jin-Tae (Yu Hae-Jin) who is looking to make amends for his previous mistakes.

The Girls Generation star, Yoon-ah, has been instrumental in providing a comical flair to the film. And even though she has only starred in five movies in her career thus far, she has helped bring in almost 20 million fans to the theatres with ticket sales of roughly ₩150 Billion. She is currently working on the release of her sixth film, 2 O'Clock Date. I am sure her fans can't wait!
